Scotland Fantasy

It’s always about fantasy. I dreamed about Scotland since years, and then, I had the opportunity to go north.


Going North is going back in time in Scotland, but it means also reaching the most desolated and pure landscape of the Highlands. There, I feel Home… What was the part of the dream, of the fantasy, and the part of objectivity that should get out of the pictures ?



In Scotland, reality is stronger than dreams. You can’t cheat. Celtics mythologies appear to be an answer to these dramatics atmospheres. I tried to fix this feeling and to understand this tough population that choose to stay here. Actually, man stay at his own place in this nature, no more: he has no choice…Wind, rains, low temperature and midges are here to help him remember that he is not welcome… most of the time, only a thin band of asphalt reveals the presence of humans…and even then, this band seems to follow the naturals curves of the nearest river…



Some smokes on the horizon; it’s a nice day, no wind. No air pollution, no noise except natural ones, it takes you a few seconds to realize that this is the new great challenge of our times. That’s why it is so important that Scotland take the good decision about it own future: here and there some huge part of the forest are scattered ; but no early jugement, we, in our times, did the same thing to develop our cities and industries. Precisely, this is, may be, the reason to start here an alternative solution.



This young Highlander, fisherman, will need some trees to make his new house; but, for each tree cut, He will plants ten new ones. I have got blond hair, I am not tall but strong; May be I could became a highlander ?
